I don't remember his last name but the dark haired guy without a shirt first name was Bruce. The one with the blond hair and sunglasses name is Dennis McMaster. RAPCON controllers in 69 and 70.

I don't remember the name of the person on the right, but the person on the left was Roger Nundal (may not be spelled correct). I am the one in the middle. My name is David McCullough. Was there Aug. 1969 to July 1970. Worked in the RAPCON also.

Hi Dave, I'm glad you found the site! Great input! Keep em coming... Do you have any pictures we can post? Thanks! I think there is a picture of a similar goat elsewhere but that one was given an R & R from the Navy side in 1970.

Wow....... nothing like 1968 !!! No wall......no patio roof...... The Lt. Col Alva R. Reid that was the squadron commander in '68 flew to the Philippines and acquired the bamboo furniture. The MARS operators were responsible for getting the flooring and air conditioning in trade for getting phone calls through to the guys who confiscated the stuff !! We buried a SP Jeep up to the axles in the sand next to the party hootch while the cop was looking for the 12th TAC Ftr Wing mascot, a goat, that we stole !!! The good old days !!!!!

In-Country Travel Orders (Don’t Ask.) Find a Ride through our friends in the ATC Tower (Often a C-123 or C-7.) Have Fun. Hitch a Ride Home anyway we Can.

I always found it funny (in our slightly sick military way) when our Fire Department (Crash Alert Facility) burned. It didn’t help that it was hit by a rocket that just missed us.

A little in-country R&R in the highlands village of Dalat. Cool!
